SQUARE OF A NUMBER----  It's a second Aptitude Trick
Finding square of a number is too long process like this.

GENERAL METHOD:  This a General and Time taking method that we ever use...
Eg:- 37 square?

                                                    37² =

                                                                      37

                                                                    x37

                                                                    259

                                                                   111x

                                                                   1369  (This method takes about 3 minutes)

As time plays a crucial role in Bank exams we prefer more shortcuts methods like this....

EASY METHOD:-This method takes <30 seconds to solve the quantitative aptitude problem.

i).Select the number that you want to find the square.

ii). Add a number nearest to it, to make it a round figure.

                                                             ------>    37+3=40

iii). Subtract the same number as much you have add to make it around figure.

                                                             ------->   37-3=34

iv). Now it is easy to multiply a single digit number with a double digit number.

                                               we  get.,   ----->   40 x 34 = 1360

v). Now square the number that you have added or subtracted.

                                                               ------>    3² =  9

vi). Now add the previous number with this one.

                                                               ------> 1360+9 = 1369.

==>For explaining it took more steps but but if you practice in this method you can solve it with in 30 seconds easily... Hope U like it...:-)

More Examples:-

1). 56² ==>       60 x 52 = 3120       ==>  4²= 16     ==> 3120+16  = 3136.

2). 91² ==>       90 x 92 = 8280        ==>  1²= 1       ==> 8280+1   =  8281.
